VASSALBORO TOWN FOREST TRAIL
Located .4 mile west on the Bog Rd. from downtown East Vassalboro. The trail entrance is from the back parking Lot of the recreation fields.
The 1-mile to .8 mile trail may be done as one or two loops. The terrain is generally level and passes through a mixture of wetlands, softwoods and hardwoods. Moving quietly is a great opportunity to view birds and other wildlife.
Historically a portion of the trail includes the rail bed of the narrrow gauge Wiscassette – Waterville line.
